Gemma arterton
Gemma Christina Arterton is an English actress who has been known for her performances in movies like 'Quantum of Solace' and 'The Disappearance of Alice Creed' and 'Hansel and Grete: Witch Hunters'. Her birthplace was in Gravesend, Kent, in Greater London. Her career began after she graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She first made an appearance in a comedy called 'St Trinian's'. The film followed shortly thereafter in "Quantum of Solace", the James Bond spy thriller. It was a typical film that was mostly mediocre in reviewers. Her role as the lead in the action film "Prince of Persia The Sands of Time" was her following. More recently, she played a role as a support for the French film 'Orphan'. Arterton's career has seen her selected for awards in a variety of categories. She won the highly coveted Empire Award for best newcomer in Quantum of Solace and the Evening Standard Theatre Award for her performance of Made in Dagenham. Arterton also received the Glamour Awards for Woman of the Years in 2011.
