Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only child of Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, a tool-and-die manufacturer and former worker in a factory. She was born on the 10th of March, 1958, in Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her three siblings. Stone was thought to be academically gifted when she started in the second grade at age five. Saegertown Senior High School, Saegertown Pennsylvania is where she received her diploma in 1975. She was also a contestant in Saegertown's Miss Pennsylvania beauty pageant, winning Miss Crawford County. Stone and her aunt moved out of New Jersey to New Jersey to start a modelling career in the year 1977. They joined The Ford Modeling Agency after a few months. Then, she moved to Europe and spent a full year in Milan as well as Paris. But, Stone became disillusioned with the world of modeling within Europe she decided to pursue acting in Europe while she was there. She appeared at 20 in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories" the film which got mixed reviews.
