Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is a famous American actress and producer known for the roles she played in Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and The television series The Mentalist. She received a BA in Brown University in African-American Studies. At the Tisch school of the arts, New York University she obtained an MFA. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer working in film, theater, and TV. She began her career as an actress in theatre before going on to appear in many television series, mainstream and independent films. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico in addition to appearing on BET's epic drama The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she was praised by critics and received various nominations and awards including an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. She started her career as an actress in 1995 when she played Ariel in The Tempest. The actress has appeared on Broadway in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Film-wise, she's best known for roles such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. On television, her part in the ABC's crime drama High Incident is well known.
